Mood food: the anti-stress diet for not losing your smile
Mood Food is not a real diet, but a new approach to food and eating: a ruly anti-stress diet. You can lose the extra pounds without stress and without losing your good mood.
Just bring to the table the right foods and face life with a smile.
Mood Food is a super balanced diet and not overly restrictive, not recommended for those with blood sugar problems, given the high consumption of carbohydrates and grains. This food plan is focusing on all foods that increase our body production of serotonin, the hormone which stimulates the feeling of a good mood. These foods are rich in vitamin B, such as milk, cereals, legumes, potatoes, eggplant, lettuce, carrots, tomatoes, broccoli, spinach and amongst the fruits, kiwi, citrus fruits, plums, bananas, pineapple, peanuts and even Avocados.
Fish plays an important role in this diet, especially the blue ones (Mackerel, Sardines ect) which are rich in Omega-3 fats, the so called “good fats”, which have a positive effect on moods. Omega-3 fats work better as an antidepressant if used in association with vitamin B12, which is found in meat, eggs and cheese. Fish should be consumed at least 3 times a week.
Vitamin D is to be found in eggs and dairy products and has an anti-stress function. Finally, it is important to get your daily amount of magnesium and potassium which are minerals especially effective tonics for both physical and mental recovery and are contained in most of the fruits and vegetables we consume.
Anti-stress Diet Mood Food allows you to lose up to 4 pounds in a month without losing your smile.
Daily you can eat whole-wheat bread, up to an amount of 80 grams and you must drink about 2 litres of water or green tea, preferably without adding sweeteners. Important meals and not to be underestimated, are breakfasts and snacks.
At breakfast you can eat, a low-fat plain natural yogurt or a fruit yogurt, 6 whole-wheat biscuits or 4 slices of Toast with 2 tsp of jam. Instead, snacks must be based on fruits like kiwi, Mandarin orange, or banana, which, as we have already said are rich in vitamins and stimulate the production of serotonin, a good mood enhancer. In this diet the amount of vegetables is free and we recommend steam cooking them. As for the toppings only use raw olive oil, the maximum daily amount is 4 teaspoons. Of course to maintain the ideal weight and to feel better it is always very important to exercise to accelerate your metabolism. In this regard, take a look at this post
